At least some things need to be set in resources for creation of the
first frame. I guess others either correspond to, or could correspond
to, frame parameters, and should be customizable. I started on that
long ago, but I think something changed under it and I dumped it.
It's not a very difficult job as far as I remember -- mainly a
question of identifying the parameters and writing Custom setters. I
seem to remember I abstracted a bunch of stuff for the job, but don't
remember how. It's possible there's some trace of it at home.
