I can not compile 2.1.2 (from ft212.zip on sf.net) under Windows. It gets an error about FT_EXCEPT_H not being defined (in ftexcept.c). Also, include/freetype/internal/ftexcept.h has markers from CVS conflicts (<<<<<<,======,and >>>>>>). This all compiled fine under Linux (using the tar.bz2 version), though those cvs conflicts are in the file in that version as well. Also, the 'make setup visualc' line fails with: builds/win32/detect.mk:61: *** missing `endif'. Stop. Has anyone else had these issues? Will there be a new release soon?
This file is experimental and shouldn't be part of a normal build of the 2.1.x branch. You'd better check the Jamfiles to see which files are compiled (they're a _lot_ easier to understand than the corresponding Makefiles) Hope this helps, - David Turner - The FreeType Project (www.freetype.org)
