That's because this font uses the FT_ENCODING_ADOBE_CUSTOM encoding which 
fontconfig doesn't currently understand.  If you can provide a mapping
from FT_ENCODING_ADOBE_CUSTOM to Unicode, I can easily plug that into 
fontconfig which already includes special handling for Apple Roman and MS 
Symbol encodings.
