Hi.

I needed to upgrade the OS on my gnokii box to the latest version (OpenBSD 3.9). My phone model is 6310i.

After the upgrade when I try to send an sms I get an error as follows:

Cannot read the SMSC number from your phone. If the sms send will fail, please use --smsc option explicitely giving the number. Please enter SMS text. End your input with <cr><control-D>:here is a TEST TEXT message.
^D
SMS Send failed (Command timed out.)

I turned on debug and got the following:

~>gnokii --sendsms 0444562327

My .gnokiirc file looks like:

[global]
port = /dev/tty00
model = 6510
initlength = default
connection = dau9p
bindir = /usr/local/sbin/
use_locking = yes
serial_baudrate = 19200

smsc_timeout = 10

[connect_script]
TELEPHONE = 0419527967
[disconnect_script]

[logging]

debug = on
rlpdebug = off
xdebug = off

What is smsc? I tried also with the command gnokii --sendsms 334534 --smsc 1 as the help suggested, with no success.

What do I need to do to get my gnokii working again?

TIA!

Nemir
