I think it would be better if (whenever such a change would likely be
accepted) taglines are added to the kernel source files even before
many kernel developers start using arch.
They do not harm anyone or anything, and it will greatly reduce possible
merging problems when arch is first used.

The best suggestion so far (or rather the one which I like the most ;)
is to use the output of 'uuidgen', like so:
