So, you wanted: tla commit address@hidden/$category--$branch--$version or an earlier use of: tla set-tree-version [....] not -A. But there's a catch here. I really can't swear that commit will _correctly_ handle the case where you are committing to an archive whose name is not registered for you to be the same as the official name of that archive. Where it doesn't, those are bugs -- but nothing has tested this and I doubt that many people have exercised this case.
It looks like one way around the write-through mirrors issue, which is why I'm trying it out. Unfortunately, I get: address@hidden:~/aba-tlacontrib$ tla commit address@hidden/tlacontrib--aba--1.2
commit: tree has no patch log for version tree: /home/abentley/aba-tlacontrib version: address@hidden/tlacontrib--aba--1.2So it looks like a script-based solution would have to make temporary changes to the archive registry. Not my favourite approach. A tla-based solution could either a) enable the script-based approach, or b) implement a new archive type.
