Actually, it seems that filesystems can be converted to case-sensitive
even after creation. Anyhow, I didn't want it to seem that tla can't
work on Mac OS X.
This one isn't exactly an arch problem. tla is letting you know
that a problem exists (although I suppose it could be more specific).
There aren't any tools that would allow both of those files to exist in
the same directory on that filesystem, so something's got to give.
Most of my tla use is on Mac OS X. The only problem I've had is
interacting with users who had conflicting category names in different
archives where I wouldnt' expect there to be a conflict. Problems
within the source tree itself are going to be there.
Oh, right. I'll mention the category conflict thing too.
What would CVS do in this case, BTW?
I've put up a page called "Filesystem Considerations" on the wiki. It
describes the pros/cons of the filesystems I know about.
Cool. Any clue how to add case sensitivity on an existing
filesystem? That'd be worth trying and a lot easier than backing up and
restoring this 80% full 60GB HDD a couple of times (hopefully, I'd only
need the backup step). Everything important *should* be backed up, of
course...
There's this page: it's awful brief, and I haven't tried it, because I
don't have a Mac.

BTW, do you know HFS+'s status wrt to
- long filenames
- efficient small file storage
- inode and device numbers
?
