I think you have a good point. I'd figure though that changes in 1.2 are
likely to be changes to the core of software that impact either
stability or reliability, which are likely changesets taht you want to
drag into 1.3 anyways.

But yeah, I think this is probably a good enough point to kill the idea.
How about (pulling from a ships-in-the-night post) star-merge --parent?
