I see the potential for conflict you're getting at, and I'd like to see someone more familiar with Gnash or interpreting the free system distro guidelines speak to that. says Flash runs "programs written in ActionScript, an ECMAScript-compatible language" and it seems to me one could write a free program in ActionScript. Are there any free Flash programs?
