Hi List,
[My] html splitting patches to texinfo are now available in a texinfo
pretest release, see below. Using this pretest, the LilyPond html
documentation can be split into separate html pages, like you find
them at our personal websites http://www.cs.uu.nl/~hanwen/lilypond and
http://appel.lilypond.org/lilypond/links/latest/
Anthony, maybe it would be a good idea to include this html
documentation, maybe even in a separate -doc package like the .rpm?
Would debian unstable want to include texinfo pretest releases?
Greetings,
Jan.
Note: if you want to try this, you'll have to edit the makefile:

Subject: [gnits] texinfo 4.0a pretest available
Hi folks,
I've made a very preliminary texinfo pretest available at:
ftp://texinfo.org/texinfo/texinfo-4.0a.tar.gz
(I will update alpha.gnu.org as soon as I again have the permissions to do so.)
I did this mostly to get Jan's work on HTML splitting out there, at his
special request. It also includes Jan's @verbatim/@verb patch, and
switches to the GNU Free Documentation License.
I have over 200 other messages and many more worthy patches to
integrate, so the next release is not imminent :(.
Please email me or the list (address@hidden) with questions
or problems. Do not email the regular texinfo lists, they should remain
for official releases.
Thanks,
address@hidden
