We use MPI to communicate between multiple GNU Gos over a dedicated cluster. It is possible to use MPI exactly the same way on a single server, and we do that for some simple testing, but I think that while it can be used to do what you want, there are more direct ways to do what you need for a game server. We are now running SlugGo with GNU Go 3.7.12. Cheers, David On 5, Dec 2008, at 8:29 AM, Terry McIntyre wrote:
Have you spoken with David Doshay, regarding Sluggo? It is possible that some of his efforts may be useful. The only caveat is that, last I heard, he was still working with version 3.6 of GnuGo.Which brings up another question: any plans for a 3.8 "stable" release?-- Terry McIntyre UNIX for hire Software Development, Systems Administration, Security address@hidden _______________________________________________ gnugo-devel mailing list address@hidden http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnugo-devel
