I hacked the above page for now, by inserting into this comment

the string

        http://www.gnumed.de/downloads/client/1.1/GNUmed-client.1.1.12.tgz

for which uscan will be polling, however that may only fix the notification 
part. I am suspecting that uscan may chain to a packaging script that may fail 
on case while the tarball on the server remains named
