tar.gz makes viewing files in the email archivea a PITA.  They were
not so bi as to cause a problem.

That file only has 162 lines.

    # wc -l compile-3.20_fail.txt
    162 compile-3.20_fail.txt

How do I see line 204?

Sorry, lost me,  Proof of what?  I don't cross-compile, so I'll readily
admit I have no idea what is going on.

Maybe someone that does cross-compile gpsd has an idea?
