Please take a look at the following documentation for Thalamus.
Thalamus is the GNU Health Federation Message and Authentication
server. It is great when using a distributed environment, with multiple
health centers.

Introduction to the GNU Health Federation:

Thalamus:

and
https://pypi.org/project/thalamus/

Technical Guide for the GH Federation
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health/Federation_Technical_Guide

Please note that, when using the Federation ecosystem, the GH HMIS is
just one more node, that would interact with Thalamus and the GH Health
Information and Person Master Index at the Document-oriented DB.

If you're starting, it's probably a good idea to get familiar with the
GH HMIS, and then move on to more involved scenarios, like the
Federation.

In anycase, please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Since this is a general question, you can just send it to
address@hidden mailing list. The health-dev mailing list is for
developers.

Have a great weekend !
Luis
