tried that still gives the error
brew install bash
 brew unlink bash && brew link bash
 chsh -s /opt/homebrew/Cellar/bash/5.1.16/bin/bash

opening kitty

-bash: declare: -A: invalid option
declare: usage: declare [-afFirtx] [-p] [name[=value] ...]
