Ouhm - sorry. It works with the correct path also supplied to the %.o ...:
HERE -v
$($(X_MODULE)_OUTPUT)/%: $(X_MODULE)/%.o $(DEPS)
@echo ' LINK EXEC $@'
$(Q)$(CXX) $(CXXFLAGS) $(CPPFLAGS) $(TARGET_ARCH) -o '$@' $^ $(LDFLAGS)
