Hi,
since I have no idea what your 'makedepend' command is and how it works, which
version, etc, I cannot help you with that.
However, the basics for an efficient dependency generation have been
excellently summarized and illustrated by Paul Smith, from a concept advanced
by Tom Tromey. Look here http://make.paulandlesley.org/autodep.html and see if
you can make that work for you.
