There is a working (save for a minor problem waiting to be fixed)
octave-forge-2003.06.02-1.info file for fink available at the fink
submission tracker:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/
index.php?func=detail&aid=585392&group_id=17203&atid=414256
Download the file
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/
download.php?group_id=17203&atid=414256&file_id=61588&aid=585392
copy it into/sw/fink/10.2/local/ or
/sw/fink/10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/sci/
and then install from the command line by "fink install octave-forge"
See fink lists/FAQ for details.
- In octave when running commands such as image and imagesc can I use
xv as display on OS X (which I have already installed through Fink), I
can't seem to get it to work at present. Are there other alternatives
for running these commands on OS X.
If you install octave-forge, image{sc} will use Preview.app to display
images.
Needs Imagemagick
See

wiki.pl?MacOSXIntegration for how to install ImageMagick
HTH,

Any help to get me started is appreciated
Mark
