That means that your CVSROOT/passwd file is defective. You have an
entry in it something like:
maciejet:xxxxxx:Tom Maciejewski
The third field is supposed to be the system userid that CVS should run
as (you can omit it if it's the same as the CVS userid), not the user's
full name.
