Hi,This is a public summary of private correspondance I had with Paolo, and per his request. I am the author of the x86-64 enhancements to the GNU Lightning code, originally derived from CCG, and used in Basilisk II, a GPL'ed 68k emulator. <http://www.cebix.net/viewcvs/cebix/BasiliskII/src/uae_cpu/compiler/ codegen_x86.h>
I hereby authorize the re-use of this code into GNU Lightning under the LGPL.
I do apologize for this very long delay. The code should now be mature enough, though I have not touched it for months. I can't tell for GNU Lightning but the generated code from a Basilisk II POV is correct and a subset was compared against binutils the disassembler.
HTH, Gwenole.
