Another option, if you're not completely tired to Vim, is Jedit. It has a built in pdf viewer and lilypond tool plugin. Point and click works flawlessly. Much lighter on the system resources as well (Acrobat is well known as a pig on resources). And it's all opensource - free.

is not metioned there, but if this editor can be called from the
command-line it should not be difficult to add and activate it!
