I've downloaded 2.17.27 and ran convert-ly against the original file
from Torsten:
No problem!
Though, the terminal returns:

Not smart enough to convert staff-padding.
Staff-padding now controls the distance to the baseline, not the nearest point.

There were some changes/discussions about staff-padding, though, I did
no further investigation. ;)
