Should be the same as
\set Timing.beamExceptions = \beamExceptions
{ 8[ 8 8 8] 8[ 8 8 8] |
\times 3/2 { 8[ 8 8] 8[ 8 8] 8[ 8 8] 8[ 8 8] } |
\times 3/2 \repeat unfold 8 { 16[ 16 16] }
}
which is possibly less cryptic to the musician.
