Good suggestions. Both are included in the latest version of the TEXTAREA
patch (just posted).
As to the wording of the statusline msg, you suggested:
(Textarea entry field) Enter text. Try "Ctrl-V e" for editor. Use tab to move
off.
To also retain the mention of arrow-keys, *and* keep the msg <= 80 chars,
what I implemented is:
(Textarea) Enter text. Use UP/DOWN arrows or TAB to move off (^Ve for editor).
