I would urge you to try the Google+ uploader. Or even WordPress' new default uploader. I wonder why we don't show any tumbnails on the upload, that's a really nice and helpful feature. Makes the upload more fun too.

It's possible to do that client-side. You just take the files from the Drag'n'Drop and render them into a canvas each. Then you put the progress bar underneath them. :)

I'm down with such an addition, anyway.  My main hesitancy was I wasn't
sure how to get it into the design without possibly cluttering it up,
but I think I agree that we'd be cluttering up usage by not having it.
