My understanding is that if a system has Wine and is configured to run
.exe files automatically using Wine, then the configure script can
wrongly conclude that it is not cross compiling.
I have Wine, but .exe files are not run with Wine automatically, so I
don't see this problem.
I just pushed 2128:24b189fbcdea which restores the cross_compiling
hack, but after the configure script is generated. Could you see if
this works for you?
Tony: Thanks for pointing out the facts I overlooked.
