this is the important line: you didn't say you were serving the collection to.cryp.mapson on the command line, so it won't serve it, permissions file or otherwise.
you said you were serving the collection to.cryp, so your client would need to say "monotone push monotone.cryp.to to.cryp"
that collection includes the branch to.cryp.mapson, but you push and pull in terms of collections, not branches.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
yeah. I made 2 concepts in the UI (collections and branches) where humans clearly prefer to think in terms of 1 concept (hierarchical branches). I'll have to massage this a bit so it behaves more intuitively.
