And my interpretation of me is:

1) No From:, no message gets sent.
1a) The 'user' MUST configure the From:.

It's really not that hard to do.  I don't think there are too many system 
utilities that use MH to inject mail, and if there are, they will just have to 
be updated before they can use nmh 2.  Nothing to see here, move along ...
