Follow-up Comment #18, bug #44912 (project octave): With a clean repository (and 'make clean') and latest patch, I don't see any message being displayed when typing Ctrl-C in the GUI. I've also just checked that it works fine with Octave 3.8.2 as installed on my system (openSUSE 13.2).
