Follow-up Comment #114, bug #44478 (project octave):
I don't really know how to reliably detect that the nvidia library is linked
with Octave.
All OpenGL function calls require a valid context to work properly, even the
one that asks for the vendor and version info. That's why I put that info in
the figure properties (changeset
http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/1449e3b98941) and then, only after
the figure is drawn.
