Follow-up Comment #7, bug #53369 (project octave): I was thinking the opposite, maybe we should delete octave.exe from the Windows install entirely, keep both octave.bat and octave.vbs. If a user is in the terminal and runs "octave" will the command shell run octave.vbs?
