Follow-up Comment #43, bug #54622 (project octave):

@John: I can't build a version of Octave for my very old Windows XP 32-bit
virtual machine, so I will have to let you try and find this.  My guess is
that we are doing something exceptional in the test suite that is confusing
the internal state of dlmread.

To test this I am uploading two files: idata_LF.txt, tst_dlmread.m.  The first
file is the data file that fails to load properly.  The second file does a
dlmread and checks that the data is read correctly.  My proposed test sequence
is


start octave
cd <location_of_tests_directory>
runtests <test_dir>
tst_dlmread
exit


Work through the directories starting with audio/ and ending with time/. 
Hopefully you find a failure and then we can narrow it down to a specific
script within the directory.  If this doesn't process doesn't yield anything
then we will need to look at the fixed scripts in the test/ directory.
