Follow-up Comment #6, bug #57435 (project octave):

I don't think the culprit is the first test.  That test just calls sparse(),
and the UMFPACK library is called for inverse.

If you want to be certain, I would try the show-octave-dbstack macro to see
where in the m-file code you were.

Alternatively, flush the stdout stream after the call to disp ('Test 1') with
the additional line


fflush (stdout);
