What was not displayed at startup. As I already mentioned, "Alt+Space" did not
work.
However, when I re-scaled the window using the lower right corner, the window
became movable and started without problems at the new position after
closing.
So the problem is solved for my production system but this behaviour is
somewhat irritating for a fresh installation.
