[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #50025] Octave window freezes when I quit Octave GUI

Follow-up Comment #70, bug #50025 (project octave):

Attempts to install Octave 6 (having uninstalled Octave 5.2 that crashes 5
minutes after launch) result in stuck "make" command after ~ 5 minutes of
installation activity. Interestingly HD noise (spinning drive) appears at the
moment installation gets stuck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
