Follow-up Comment #8, bug #60357 (project octave): Re comment #6, jwe: IIRC, we split those tests to have them marked as a regression on platforms where we know they once passed. But don't have regressions on platforms where they never passed. The body of the BISTs should be identical. I'm not sure though why we skipped the original test on platforms where they never passed, but have the other construct for having the duplicated test pass on platforms that are marked as fixed. I don't know why the tests are marked with different numbers.
