Hi Charles,

The loop is changing the Crest Factor from 12dB to 6dB, that means the peak
now is twice the average (peak = 1, average = 0.5), similar to what is
explanined on Eq. 1. Page 3 of this paper

Regarding the graph generated on Octave, it should be much better for me if
the POCTAVE funcion was available (https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?63442)
