Hello John
I've beem very happy to be involved in the ver. 3.0 release.
Thanks John.
BTW

Is this mean that low level gnuplot plotting functions are eliminated from the
Octave
while the gnuplot remains as one of plotting engines?
If so, I think that this would be done as fast as possible.
There would be some people who have been fond of old syntax.
However, now the low level functions cannot be combine high level description.
Remaining the low level functions only will cause confusion and it would not
give anythig good.
For people who want use control the gnuplot in its maximum ability, they should
write the gnuplot
scripts and call them like system('gnuplot script.gp'). I am now really doing
so.

Even if the above means that the gnuplot also will have been removed as one of
the plotting engines, I
will feel a litte bit sad but I'm not against it.
Regards.
