FTR I also checked in Octave-6.2.0 (just released) and there it all works
nicely.

BTW, I was a bit surprised that the 2nd-3rd-4th demos took a lot longer to get
computed than the 1st, while the 1st seems more complicated. But admittedly I
know little about this part of statistics (I used to be much more acquainted
with geostatistics and TSA), so it's probably just my ignorance at play here
:-)
