Which Linux?
I was getting repeatable segfaults on certain articles - it turned out
to be something to do with fonts - when I deleted the Blue Highway fonts
supplied with Mandrake 9.0 and replaced them with the (also free) ones
from www.myfonts.com, it stopped happening.
Try running Pan from a console - I needed the error messages Pan
produced to work this out...
