I will do some further testing this evening, including the "-c ground" option for the message program.
I suppose a server crash will generate a message in Paparazzi Center (?)

The 'entering log_xml' is a recent debug message left by Felix. I guess we should remove it or make it more explicit. But it also means that the function that open the log file is called properly. I tried this morning with the latest code from git and it works fine. Do you see any crashes of the server when it starts receiving data ? You can also start the message program with option "-c ground" to see messages send by the server. If it recognizes your aircraft, you will have the NEW_AIRCRAFT message.

No, the simulation works fine. But in simulation I suppose it is normal that a logfile is not created.
With my airplane setup the logfile is created, but stays on with 0 data in it.
I tried with two different hardware sets and two different laptops. No luck.
I wondered if the empty logfile is connected with the empty GCS in some way. The Messages tool is blinking as it should and at least the IR message contains updated data, so I found it a bit strange that these data would not reach the logfile and GCS.
Could something in the configuration files that are editable in Paparazzi Center (airframe, flight plan, settings etc) cause this?
Also I wondered about the          Entering 'log_xml'          line in Paparazzi Center that I cannot remember having seen before. I could be wrong there.
I have the possibility to check this evening with my old Paparazzi setup which was saved a few weeks ago. I know that one worked fine.

Do you have the same problem in simulation ?

After running git pull, make clean and make (last time today) it seems I have got a problem which I have not experienced before. The GCS wont populate, even though the modems talk to each other.

The plane is a Multiplex Twinstar which has had many Auto2 flights.

GCS wont populate.
Telemetry seems to work with normal activity.
The Messages tools show normal activity.
IR sensors values changes as I move my hand around the sensors.
Log file is empty.

In the main window in Paparazzi Centre there is a message I cannot remember having seen before (not sure):
Entering 'log_xml'
I deleted the old conf.xml and control_panel.xml before git pull and entered my personal aircraft and session into the new files.

I am a bit stuck, any help please?
