The traces would definitly help.

For example, if no ACK is received after several seconds (generally 32s)
then UA should close the call by sending a BYE.

This might be your issue.

(If partysip is on the NAT, you must be sure to enable all record-route.
This could be the reason why the ACK is not going delivered.
