hi everybody,

it'd be great if some one cud help me with the following...pertaining to presence service....

1. Can a presentity construct a PUBLISH message for multiple watchers as soon as he receives a NOTIFY (winfo)?

if yes, how will it differentiate tuples for watchers...? as no documents show watcher - id's included in
PUBLISH messages .
if no, will it issue individual PUBLISH messages after receiving watcher list in the NOTIFY (winfo) from
presence server. In this case, does it make use of the facet header to identify watchers in case of
individual PUBLISH messages ?

2. How will the watcher decide on which tuple to consider when he receives a NOTIFY message with two tuple id's as given in draft-ietf-simple-publish-00.txt document as follows....

NOTIFY sip:address@hidden SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP presence.domain.com;branch=z9hG4bK8sdf2
To: ;tag=12341234
From: ;tag=abcd1234
Call-ID: address@hidden
CSeq: 1 NOTIFY
Event: presence
Subscription-State: active; expires=3599
Content-Type: application/cpim-pidf+xml
Content-Length: ...

entity="pres:address@hidden">

open

open

3. When a watcher wishes to unsubscibe he sends a SUBSCRIBE message with expires value 0. How do we differentiate if it's a unsubscirbe or a fetch ???

In the case of a unsubscribe, will the NOTIFY message sent by the presence server contain a xml document giving status of presentity...? or will it just give the value terminated in the header ???

4. Will there be an expires header in the SUBSCRIBE (winfo) request sent by presentity...? If no expires is present will the presece server assumes a default of 3600 ??? ------> now after the 3600 i.e., the presentity's subscription has expired...!! the presentity will no longer receive any notifications unless or until it subscribes again....but will the presentity be able to send PUBLISH messages...even after it's SUBSCRIBE (winfo) has expired....?

thanks in advance,
regards,
ratish.
