Maybe a variable substitution error?  I think it should be:

http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs//software/gsasl/?cvsroot=www.gnu.org

this should be an easy bug to fix.  the bug is obviously here:

and similar code is pulling the correct URLs here:

http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/savannah/savannah/www/include/project_home.php
