Maybe it is related to stale repository locks.

The latest example of a repeat diff is:

I was the next person to make a commit after this.
When I tried to commit, I got the message that the repository
was locked by address@hidden, and had been for 9 hours.
I broke the locked and commited.

On the other hand this could just be a coincidence.
I've seen stale locks before that did not seem to be accompanied
by repeated diffs (maybe the locks were broken sooner though).
