Description:

  A "feed" aggregator.

It aggregates (collects and sorts) items from user configured RSS or ATOM
feeds. This means it has a register of feed urls and can download the feed
from the url and then present it through an xslt stylesheet.

The aggregator can be used from the command line, as a library of via a web
application interface.

The aggregator itself is written in python (which is free software) but uses
xslt stylesheets. The xslt library used is Gnome's libxml2/libxslt (which is
free software - it's part of gnome). 

Some shell scripts are included which are bash compliant.

The web application is written with python/mod_python/apache which is all
free software. Several pngs are included.

A database backend can be used. This is written using the postgresql database
engine which is free software.
