We are clueless about the new features of Improved Application system of GSoC over melange usaged till last year , till few days back. The features available for students announced just few days back

This point was copied from last years procedure, currently the GSoC website offers a draft option to draft the application, earlier that feature was not there, so we asked the students to prepare the application in the wiki.  that is no longer necessary

Regarding writing the proposal for GSOC 2016, is it mandatory to create an account in SMC wiki. On SMC wiki application-template webpage, it is mentioned that "Every applicant should create an account in SMC wiki". But I am unable to find any guidelines for creating an account.
