Hey, I just built the git version of speechd and so far, so good but I
do have one issue now. First off, I build the program by configuring
with --with-alsa and --with-libao support. I have both systems
available on my system and I want to include them for package
building.
I now have aproblem where the $PLAY_COMMAND is not being populated
when I use swift-generic for the output module. If I use
espeak-generic, it seems to be populated as it will speak with the
espeak voice. It is silent when I use swift-generic. Now I went in
and changed the $PLAY-COMMAND to 'aplay' without the tick marks and it
works fine. With version 0.6.7, the $PLAY_COMMAND was used regularly
and always worked fine.
My question here is "Where does the value of $PLAY_COMMAND get set and
how for each modules?"
