In any case, as far as I can read the FAQ -- no, it says mentoring organizations get $500, not mentors themselves. It'd be cool if GNU/FSF came up with some sort of a reward for mentors. GNU/FSF definitely do deserve the money (one can think of it as a donation of time from the mentor), but at least a portion of the money reaching the mentor would be nice. Or at least, as proposed, some sort of memorabilia.

As a way of saying "Thanks!"
