Swarm binary in Linux 4.1 (first attempt)

Hi,
I tried to install the swarm binary (1.0.1) for Linux.  Has anyone done
this successfully?  Can I get a copy of your Makefile.conf?  I know it
wouldn't be exactly the same, but I think it would still be helpful?  

Can anyone else give me any other hints, or watchouts that they
encountered when doing the same thing?

Here is the last four lines of the make output I got:
make[2]: *** [Value2dDisplay.o]  Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/home/brad/...../src/space'
make[1]: [libs] Error 2 (ignored)
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/brad/...../src'
